You may be confused as to what exactly can be covered by your NDIS Core Supports. The Assistance with Daily Living category covers services that are ultimately reasonable and necessary, and directly related to your disability. This could include any of the following:

- In-Home Laundry

- Gardening
- House Maintenance
If you are able to complete these activities while living with your disability, or if any of these cleaning services require you to hire a professional that a person without a disability would also need to hire, then it is not covered by the NDIS. Again, we can provide referrals to different providers that also offer NDIS cleaning services depending on what your needs are to achieve your goals.
Can Maple arrange regular cleaning with the same cleaner?
Wherever possible, we prioritise consistency by arranging the same cleaner for regular visits. This helps your cleaner become familiar with your disability, home, preferences, and routine without you needing to explain everything again each time.
Can Maple tailor the cleaning to what I need help with?
Yes. We take the time to understand which household tasks you need assistance with and how you prefer your home to be maintained. Your cleaning service can then be arranged around those priorities.
Can Maple work with my Support Coordinator or Plan Manager?
Yes. We regularly work with Support Coordinators and Plan Managers to coordinate NDIS cleaning services, provide the required service information, and keep communication straightforward throughout your support.
What times is Maple’s NDIS Cleaning available?
We offer flexible cleaning times to suit different participant routines and support needs. Our team can discuss your preferred days and times and arrange regular cleaning based on availability in your area.
Can NDIS funding be used for cleaning services?
NDIS funding may cover household cleaning when a participant’s disability makes it difficult to complete these tasks independently. Cleaning must relate to the participant’s disability support needs and meet NDIS funding criteria.
