Our teams include specialised nurses, behaviour support–trained workers and high intensity (HIDPA) qualified staff, so we can say yes where others say no.

Just as importantly, most of the people we support don’t need complex care at all, and they get the same consistent team and the same care taken over the details.

If your disability isn’t listed above, it almost certainly still sits within our experience, so please ask.

Care that feels like home

We speak your language. Literally.

New clients often tell us that they left their previous NDIS provider due to language barriers and/or cultural misunderstandings. Around 80% of our workforce comes from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and together we speak more than 50 languages.

That means we don’t just find a worker who’s available. We find a worker who shares your language, understands your traditions, and respects your heritage — from how you like your tea to how your family makes decisions.

A part of what we do as an NDIS Disability Support Provider in Australia is assist you with locating these services and utilising your funding. NDIS providers in Sydney and throughout Australia may offer help with any or all of these services. However, at Maple, your close relationship with your Support Coordinator, Plan Manager, or Client Relations Officer adds a layer of caring above and beyond the basic support, including:

    • Assistance with Daily Living
    • Transportation
    • Assistance with Social Participation
    • Support Coordination
    • Consumables or Assistive Technology Products

Yes. Complex care is one of our specialisations. We support participants with high intensity daily personal activities (HIDPA), specialised nursing and respiratory needs, psychosocial disability, behaviours of concern and justice involvement. If another provider has said no, talk to our intake team. We look for a safe way to say yes.

We acknowledge referrals within two hours during business hours and average about five business days from referral to service commencement. Supported Independent Living placements can happen in as little as 24 hours where a suitable vacancy exists.

Most likely. Around 80% of our workforce comes from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and our team collectively speaks more than 50 languages. Tell us your preferred language when you enquire and we’ll match you with a worker who speaks it.

No. The first conversation is free and there’s no obligation. Our funding calculator, eligibility quiz and funding risk quiz are also free to use with no login required. Services themselves are charged to your NDIS plan in line with the NDIS Price Guide.

Jonathan is one example of a great Maple case. Jonathan’s time at Maple Community Services has been transformative, with the provision of Accommodation/SIL and Core Supports perfectly aligning with his needs. His collaboration with his support worker Naqash has not only helped him achieve his NDIS goals but also enabled him to live independently and reconnect with his father after 22 years.

You generally need to be under 65, an Australian citizen or permanent resident, and have a permanent and significant disability that affects your everyday activities.

We have created a simple NDIS checklist that outlines the eligibility criteria necessary for individuals seeking NDIS support. Whether you are an individual with a disability, a family member, or a support worker, this checklist will provide you with the information needed to determine eligibility for NDIS support.

There’s no fixed amount. Your funding is based on what’s reasonable and necessary to pursue your goals, given your disability and the support you already have.

Whether you’re just starting out or looking to review your current plan, you can use our NDIS support calculator to help you estimate the funding you may be eligible for under the NDIS.

You can use NDIS Funding for various types of assistance, as well as products, investments, or services to improve your life.

Certain investments are funded by the NDIS, including home and vehicle modifications.

Additional services and products are available through NDIS to improve your life. This includes funding for better living arrangements, as well as for improving your relationships, health, learning, life choices, and daily living.

A part of what we do as an NDIS Disability Support Provider in Australia is assist you with locating these services and utilising your funding. NDIS providers in Sydney and throughout Australia may offer help with any or all of these services.

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS Australia) funds essential support to help people with disabilities live more independently. And the funding for the services received under the NDIS disability services from NDIS providers comes from the Federal Government together with each of the participating states and territories.

We at Maple Community Services are committed to helping you get the NDIS funding you need, gain access to support services, and aim toward a better, more independent life.

With our quick referral turnaround time of less than a week, you can receive support as soon as possible.

The types of assistance funded by the NDIS include:

    • Core Supports – Any product or assistive service that helps you manage daily living tasks and support you in the process.
    • Capital Supports – Products or modifications that require an investment, including equipment, technology, or modifications to your home or vehicle.
    • Capacity Building Supports – Any products or services that help you become more independent or enhance your skills.

Maple Community Services works with the NDIS to ensure that you have the services to manage your disability needs and live your best life.

Yes. You can change providers at any time, and you don’t need permission from the NDIA. You’ll need to give notice as set out in your service agreement, which is often two to four weeks. Maple can run alongside your current provider during the handover so there’s no gap in your support. Our team handles the paperwork with you.

Plan reviews look at how you’ve used your funding and whether your supports still match your goals. Unspent funding, missing evidence, and supports that aren’t clearly linked to your goals are the three most common reasons plans get reduced. Our free funding risk quiz shows you where you’re exposed and what to fix before your review.
