Years Delivering NDIS Services
languages spoken to make you feel at home
Support and Same Day Booking
Our disability support workers stay alongside you with the everyday things, so the day runs the way you want it to. That might be a shower and breakfast, a lift to a hospital appointment, or simply getting the washing done.
Maple Community Services is a registered NDIS provider with support workers across the Gold Coast, from Coomera and Helensvale in the north, through Southport, Surfers Paradise and Nerang, down to Robina, Burleigh Heads and Coolangatta. You are supported by a small team who learn your routine once and then stick with it, instead of a new face every fortnight.
96% of our support workers stay with us, in a sector where 17 to 25% leave every year. You stop re-explaining yourself.
Your language, culture, routine and what you actually want out of the week come before who happens to be free.
HIDPA, complex bowel care, ventilation, behaviour support and mental health, with clinical oversight behind every worker.
We move you to a different worker, with a proper handover, and you never have to explain why.
The supports Gold Coast participants and families book most often, and where each one sits in your plan.
Showering, dressing, grooming, toileting and medication prompts, done in your order and at your pace. Funded from Core Supports.
Meals, cleaning, laundry, a bit of yard work and the errands that quietly stack up.
The gym, TAFE, your place of worship, appointments, the shops, a walk along the Broadwater or a morning at the beach, with a worker who backs your confidence instead of taking over.
High Intensity Daily Personal Activities (HIDPA) including complex bowel care, enteral feeding, ventilation and complex wound care, delivered by workers trained for your exact supports with clinical oversight behind them.
Active night shifts, sleepovers and round-the-clock support, in your own home or in a Supported Independent Living (SIL) house.
Hours that give a family carer a real break, plus cover when your regular worker is on leave or unwell.

Whether its a query about the services we provide, or just a general enquiry, we would love to hear from you!
Yes, and we encourage you to do so. You meet your worker before the first shift, so you can see how you get on, ask your own questions and say no if the fit is not right. Nobody walks into your home for the first time as a stranger.
We cover it, and we do not leave you to sort it out. Because you have a small team rather than one person, cover usually comes from someone who already knows your routine, and you are told who is coming before the shift. Screening, insurance, training and backfill sit with us, not with you.
Yes, regularly. Complex care and High Intensity Daily Personal Activities are our specialty, including psychosocial and high medical needs that other providers decline. We look for a safe way to say yes, with clinical oversight and workers trained for your specific supports. If you have been told no before, it is worth asking us.
Yes. Maple Community Services is registered with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, and you can verify that on the Commission’s public register. Registration means we are audited against the NDIS Practice Standards. It also means you can use us whether your plan is agency managed, plan managed or self managed.
Send an enquiry or referral with your suburb, the supports you need and anything that matters to the match, such as language, gender or cultural background. We acknowledge it within 2 hours during business hours, have a proper conversation about your goals, then arrange a meet before your first shift. For everyday support that is usually about 5 business days start to finish.
It depends on the support and the hours. Everyday supports such as personal care and community access can often start within one to two weeks. Overnight, high-intensity and complex supports take longer, because the worker has to be trained for your specific needs and clinical sign-off is involved. Unusual hours, early mornings, late nights and weekends are the most common cause of delay anywhere on the Coast.
An agency, or registered provider, employs the worker and carries the screening, insurance, training, supervision and cover when someone is sick. An independent worker found through an online platform usually works for themselves, which can mean a lower hourly rate and more choice, but the admin, the backup plan and the risk sit with you. Neither is better by default. It comes down to how much of that you want to hold.
Yes. If your plan is agency managed, you can only use NDIS registered providers. If it is plan managed or self managed, you can use registered providers, unregistered providers or independent workers, so your choice is wider. Your plan manager, support coordinator or Local Area Coordinator can confirm which category you are in.
Broadly, anything in your plan that helps you take part in everyday life. On the Coast that usually means getting to appointments at Robina or the Gold Coast University Hospital, TAFE or work, the shops, the gym, a swim, a walk along the Broadwater, or a regular social or sporting group. The tasks are agreed with you and written into your service agreement.
Ask about experience with your specific support needs, not disability in general. Then ask the practical things: what happens if you are sick, how much notice do you need to change a shift, what are you not able to do, and who do I call if something goes wrong. How someone answers that last question usually tells you the most.
