Whether its a query about the services we provide, or just a general enquiry, we would love to hear from you!
This is one of the biggest reasons people hesitate to reach out; don’t let it stop you. Many participants don’t have emergency accommodation written into their plan when a crisis hits, and that’s okay. Maple can help you request an urgent plan reassessment, working with your Support Coordinator or Local Area Coordinator, while we look at short-term options like Short Term Accommodation (STA) that can be funded for up to 14 days in the meantime.
Yes. Even when we’re moving fast, we don’t skip this step. With 80% of our workforce from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds and over 50 languages spoken across our teams, we look for a genuine match wherever possible.
Moving quickly doesn’t mean starting from scratch. We work with your existing Support Coordinator, family, and any allied health professionals involved to keep your goals, routines, and existing supports connected, so an emergency move doesn’t undo the progress you’ve already made.
You can refer directly through our emergency contact form or call our 24/7 line. We’ll acknowledge your referral straight away and won’t leave you chasing an update, so you can focus on your participant instead of the paperwork.
It depends on your needs and your plan. Some participants use emergency accommodation as a short-term bridge while a longer-term Supported Independent Living (SIL) or Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) home is arranged. Others find their emergency placement suits them well and stay on. We’ll talk this through with you honestly rather than assuming one path fits everyone.
Short Term Accommodation (STA) can generally be funded for up to 14 days. This gives you or your carer time during an emergency. Longer stays may be arranged case by case. This depends on your situation and ongoing housing plans.
If your current plan doesn’t cover emergency accommodation, the NDIA can vary your plan specifically for crisis or emergency funding. This is faster than a full plan reassessment. Maple can help gather the right evidence and liaise with your Support Coordinator or the NDIA to support this request.
SIL is a life-changing NDIS support, but choosing the right service model starts with understanding your options.
Choosing the right SIL provider can shape everything. From how safe and supported you feel each day, to how confidently you build your independence.
