How To Apply For SIL

Share your preferences
Tell us what matters: preferred locations, daily routines, accessibility needs, and housemate fit (age, interests, gender mix). You can submit an EOI on a specific home or start with a quick enquiry if you’re exploring options.

Plan check & shortlisting
We review your NDIS plan and any supporting reports, clarify what SIL funds vs housing /tenancy, and confirm suitability. Then we present a shortlist of homes with current availability, timeframes, and staffing model, including initial compatibility pre‑screening.

Take a House Tour
Choose in‑person or virtual home tours, meet the team and housemates, and discuss routines, rosters and house expectations. We complete a risk & compatibility assessment and align on a transition plan (including STA if helpful). Emergency placements follow an accelerated pathway where appropriate.

Start supports & settle in
We coordinate onboarding: welcome pack, support plan, routines, consents, rosters. There’s a first‑week check‑in, a 30‑day review, and ongoing goal tracking with continuity of staff. If something isn’t the right fit, we’ll work with you on adjustments or an alternative home.

Am I eligible for SIL?
Eligibility depends on your goals, support needs and living situation. We can help assess fit and prepare information for the NDIA where required.
What does SIL cover?
SIL funds the support you need to live as independently as possible. This includes assistance with daily living, routines and community access. Housing (the physical home/tenancy) is funded separately.
How fast can I start?
If a suitable vacancy is available and we’re a good fit, we can often move from enquiry to placement in days to weeks.
Can my family/support coordinator be involved?
Absolutely. We collaborate with families, support coordinators and allied health to make sure the home and supports are right for you.
What if I’m still exploring my options?
