NDIS psychosocial recovery coaching that builds capacity, coordinates your supports and keeps your plan moving through the steadier weeks and the harder ones.
Maple Community Services delivers psychosocial recovery coaching in your home, in the community, in your Supported Independent Living home, or by phone and video. That includes building a recovery plan with you, coordinating your providers, staying engaged through the periods when you need more support rather than less, and preparing the functional evidence your next plan reassessment will ask for.
Whether you are a participant, a family carer, a Support Coordinator or a treating clinician, you get one dedicated contact, a 24/7 line answered by a real person, and the option of a coach who speaks your language.

We deliver psychosocial recovery coaching for participants whose mental health condition is getting in the way of the goals in their plan.Â
Around 66,000 NDIS participants live with psychosocial disability, and no two recovery journeys look the same.
Support for participants whose mental health condition has an ongoing functional impact, working on routines, motivation, relationships and staying well enough to use the rest of your plan.
Steady, practical help to re-establish a routine, restart supports that lapsed, and rebuild confidence at a pace you set, rather than the pace a discharge date sets.
If your GP, psychiatrist, allied health team and support workers are all working from different pages, your recovery coach brings them into one plan and keeps them connected.
Recovery coaching that works with, not around, an intellectual disability, autism, ADHD, acquired brain injury or a physical disability, at your communication level.
Recovery coaching delivered inside SIL and SDA homes, so your coach and your daily support team are working from the same strategies.
Practical guidance so the people closest to you know what helps on a hard day, and know they are not carrying it alone.
Clear capability answers, written confirmation of what we can deliver, reports that land before the reassessment, and proactive updates you did not have to chase.
Wherever you are in your recovery, our psychosocial recovery coaching is designed to be consistent, culturally safe, and built around what matters most to you.
We start by getting to know you, the people who matter to you, and what a good week actually looks like. Together we set recovery goals in your own words, then write them up in the functional language your next plan reassessment will ask for.
Sessions work on the everyday things: holding a routine together, managing distress, making decisions, speaking up for yourself, rebuilding relationships, and moving towards study, volunteering or work when you are ready.
Your coach connects and keeps track of your NDIS providers, mental health services, GP and community supports, so nothing falls between them. Coordination is part of the recovery coach role, not an extra you have to arrange.
Recovery is not a straight line. Your coach plans ahead for the tougher periods, stays engaged through them, and helps you pick things back up afterwards rather than starting from scratch.
We document progress, barriers and what is still needed, and provide the reports your plan reassessment relies on, ready before the meeting rather than after it.

Whether its a query about the services we provide, or just a general enquiry, we would love to hear from you!
Tell us at referral, and we will match you as closely as we can. The NDIA notes that many participants find a coach with lived experience helpful, and we also match on language, culture and gender preference. Around 80% of our workforce comes from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and our teams speak more than 50 languages between them.
Your coach stays involved. We plan ahead for the harder periods, keep your providers informed while you are unwell, and help you restart your supports afterwards instead of beginning again from nothing. Our 24/7 line is answered by a real person, so you are never waiting until Monday.

That is the intention, and it is why we track it. Maple has a 96% retention rate, so you are far less likely to be handed to someone new partway through your recovery.
Yes, and it is a core part of the role. With your consent, your coach keeps your clinical and community supports connected, joins case conferences where it helps, and makes sure everyone is working from the same recovery plan.
Yes. We document your progress, the barriers still in the way and what you need next, written in the functional language the NDIA looks for. Reports arrive before the reassessment, not after it.
We acknowledge every enquiry and referral within two hours during business hours, and average five business days from referral to service commencement. Send us your plan, and we will confirm what your funding covers before you commit to anything.
Psychosocial recovery coaching is an NDIS-funded support for people with psychosocial disability, which is disability arising from a mental health condition. A recovery coach works with you to build capacity and resilience, find and organise supports, and stay engaged through periods when you need more help. The NDIA describes the aim as increasing your choice and control, your connection to community, and your job opportunities.
A recovery coach helps you develop a recovery plan, coaches you to build on your strengths and decision-making, and connects you with NDIS, community and mainstream services, including mental health services outside the NDIS. They also make sure those services keep working together. A recovery coach does not diagnose or provide clinical treatment.
Both are Capacity Building supports, and both help you organise your plan. Support coordination is for any participant with complex needs and focuses on plan logistics. Psychosocial recovery coaching is designed specifically for psychosocial disability, works at a recovery pace, includes coaching and mental health knowledge, and may be delivered by someone with lived experience.
Usually not. Because coordination is already part of the recovery coach role, the NDIA’s guidance is that it will generally not fund both support coordination and recovery coaching in a plan. It does allow for limited cases where both are needed, and where that happens, the two providers must keep their roles clearly separated so tasks are not duplicated.
You will generally receive funding for a recovery coach if you are an NDIS participant with psychosocial support needs. There is no fixed number of hours: the NDIA says the amount depends on your needs, and your NDIA planner or NDIS partner will help work that out with you.
Ask for it by name. Raise psychosocial recovery coaching at your plan meeting or reassessment, and link it to the functional impact of your mental health condition and the goals in your plan. Evidence from your treating team, a support coordinator or an allied health professional, written in functional terms, gives the request its strongest footing.
Yes. You can change recovery coach providers at any time without waiting for a plan reassessment and without giving a reason. Recovery work depends on the relationship, so a poor fit is a legitimate reason to move.
