Maple Launches Inaugural Scholarship program
Empowering people in the disability sector to achieve their educational goals.
Maple Community Services is proud to announce the launch of a new Scholarship program designed to provide much needed financial support to those within the disability sector to gain equal access to educational opportunities. The program provides two unique and distinct scholarships both valued at $5,000 each.
Maple Equality & Inclusion Scholarship has been established to help provide people with a disability gain greater access to affordable educational opportunities. This Scholarship is open to any individual within the Australian Community who identifies as having a primary disability.
“We know all too well the additional obstacles individuals with disabilities must overcome to successfully access and complete tertiary education, or structured educational programs. These obstacles are directly linked to financial costs and the additional outlays associated for those with a disability. This is something we at Maple Community Services want to assist to elevate”. Samira, Director of Maple.
The second part of the program includes The Maple Emerging Talent which has been designed to assist individuals within the Maple Family grow and expand their education. This Scholarship is open to any Maple individual, whether it be staff or client, who has been with the company for more than 3 months and who is still currently a part of the ‘Maple Family’.
“We not only wanted to provide an opportunity for individuals with a disability, but we also wanted to empower individuals who work within the industry to continue their education and in turn, make further positive impacts on not only the sector but also the lives of those we support.” Abdul, Director of Maple said.
Being a part of a small handful of the first NDIS Registered Providers to offer such an opportunity is a privilege for Maple Community Services. “The Scholarship Program is an initiative we feel very strongly about, and we hope we can continue to develop, and grow it over the coming years – to provide even more opportunities like this across the country.” Stated Abdul.
Both Scholarships are positioned to provide the Maple Community as well as the broader disability industry with opportunities like they have never seen before. These Scholarships are made possible by the support of Australia’s own Maple Community Services, who is devoted to providing continued opportunities of equality to people with varied abilities, or those who work within this industry.
