Maple Services is proud to announce our pivotal role in championing inclusivity and development in Para-Athletics, as we support the establishment of a new Para Advisory Committee by our partners, Athletics NSW (ANSW). Our collaboration is a testament to our dedication to nurturing talent and promoting diversity within the sporting community.
As the Health and Wellbeing Partner of ANSW, Maple Services is delighted that our funding has contributed to bringing together nine esteemed members to form the committee. This initiative aligns perfectly with our ethos of fostering well-being and inclusiveness in every community we touch. The committee, led by the diligent Para-Liaison Coordinator, Matt Rawlings, embodies a diverse mix of perspectives from Technical Officials, Parents, Coaches, and Athletes.
We echo the sentiments of committee member Timothy Earl, who emphasizes the importance of expanding support for para-athletes and enhancing their experiences and opportunities. Julie Charlton, a newly appointed member and a dedicated coach, also resonates with our mission, expressing a desire to advocate for the joy and success of para-athletes in NSW.
This significant step, combined with the appointment of Matt Rawlings as the Para-Liaison Coordinator, solidifies ANSW’s and Maple Services’ shared commitment to enriching the para-athletics landscape.
This influential Para Advisory Committee is not the only fruit borne from our partnership with ANSW. Our collaboration has also been instrumental in the creation of the Para Liaison Officer Role, a significant stride towards providing personalized support and advocacy within the para-athletic community. Additionally, the establishment of an ambassador program and the launch of the Para Athlete Paris 2024 campaign are further examples of our shared commitment to fostering talent and elevating the profile of para-athletes as we look ahead to the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. These initiatives reflect Maple Services’ ongoing dedication to health, well-being, and inclusivity in athletics and beyond.
